Grilled Kangaroo in Australia

When we say Australia, one of the first things that pops up in your head would be koalas and kangaroos.

The first kangaroo I saw during my last trip out here at Emu Ridge Eucalyptus and Craft Gallery

Meet Celine

She is an orphaned kangaroo adopted by the Turners.

And I brought us around this winter to see more kangaroos.

And we got to meet more kangaroos, up close and personal....

The Kangaroo meat was marinated and grilled. And no, it didn't taste like chicken! It tasted a bit gamey and is said to have little saturated fat and high in iron and zinc. Kangaroo meat is now being exported to over 50 countries. (Source: Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade)
